Summary

Over recent years, renewable energy resources, (mainly solar Photovoltaic energy) have become a focus of many facilities across all sectors in Australia. This is due to abundance of sunlight and more affordable funding mechanisms.

HFM’s integrated blend of sustainability and energy consultancy with traditional facility management provides practical solutions to improve any facility’s performance and boost their bottom line.

PROCESS

HFM reiterates that renewable energy should be considered after the full review of the existing building, mechanical systems, and controls, to ensure a highly efficient building prior to roll out of a new system. With this in mind, solar energy or any renewable system should be integrated with all aspects of a property.

The HFM team has worked on a wide range of facilities across Australia. Our renewable engineers study the site’s specific circumstances to determine viability of installing solar PV and battery systems.

RESULTS

Our team has designed over 80 MW of commercial and utility scale PV systems since 2014. Some of these projects include:

  • 40 MW combined utility scale solar farms
  • 1.3 MW age care facilities
  • 2.2 MW commercial buildings
  • 2.3 MW hospitality buildings
  • 4.7 MW industrial buildings
  • 13.4 MW local government buildings
  • 3.0 MW schools, universities and Tafe
  • 16.1 MW shopping centres
