Christmas in July Rotary Fundraising Event

The HFM team attending the Christmas in July Rotary Fundraising Event Perth

The traditional Christmas dinner and auction was held on level 50 of Central Park, with 360-degree views of Perth. The celebration saw 180 guests enjoying the entertainment from:

A humorous act of the “Twelve Days of Christmas” was performed by Ian and Isa Rapley (both from Rotary), which captured the audience.

All funds raised went to support the Club’s main charities:

Cambodia Hospital Equipment Project

This is the Rotary Club of Osborne Park’s main charity project, and it involves shipping second-hand hospital equipment from Australia to Cambodia, where patients often don’t have beds provided and in some cases were treated on the floor.

A key component of this project has been the replacement and upgrade of Perth’s hospitals that we have observed over recent years. This has made available serviceable second-hand equipment that otherwise would have been disposed of, but instead, thanks to this Club’s great effort is being sent to Cambodia.

HFM is proud to have donated the costs involved in shipping containers from Perth to Cambodia, as well as the volunteering helping hands of some of our team members to assist in loading the containers.

Making FASD History

A humorous act of the “Twelve Days of Christmas” was performed by Ian and Isa Rapley (both from Rotary), which captured the audience.

“Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a lifelong condition caused by consumption of alcohol whilst pregnant which results in the infant having permanent brain damage. This often happens even before the woman knows she is pregnant.”

This project has resulted in a reduction of alcohol consumption during pregnancy from 65% to 15% during the past 8 years for Aboriginal & non-indigenous women in areas such as Kimberley, Pilbara and Perth.

Earlier this year, HFM Asset Management sponsored a Hole in One competition at The Vines, during the Australian Institute of Hotel Engineers Corporate Golf Day, raising $2,000 towards this cause.

Join us in making a difference!

During recent years, the team at HFM Asset Management has been continuously supporting these causes throughout various activities and donations.

It’s important for us to help give back to our community. We believe that investing in local and small communities around the globe is key to enabling positive change in the world. So, we work together to empower them.
