POMEC stands for Property Operational, Maintenance, Energy & Cost and is a simple and effective benchmark tool to rate your office tower, hotel, resort or shopping centre.
The engineering costs of operating a building can be quickly assessed utilising "Key Performance Indicators". Operating costs such as electricity, water, air conditioning, elevator costs, etc, can be compared against industry averages using specific KPI’s. These KPI’s can assist in isolating excessive operating costs in particular areas. Using this tool enables the operator to quickly target the areas of excessive expenditure relative to industry averages.
Many times it is found that items are being incorrectly accounted and result in apparently inefficient buildings. Correct coding can assist in better account management.
