We identify computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) to be a useful tool in providing sustainable management for the short and long term. We have implemented both manual and computerized MMS to our client base, depending on their requirements and existing IT infrastructure.
In our opinion CMMS have become a fundamental tool required to manage any asset or asset group with accountability and transparency.
A CMMS protects and insulates the asset against staff changes, reduced skills base and other changes in operational management. If a CMMS is in operation within a facility, the departure of any key facility manager is not as difficult to manage because the system keeps producing planned maintenance schedules etc.
