NSW Operations & Development Manager

HFM Asset Management is seeking to fill the position of New South Wales Operations and Development Manager.  This position will report directly to the East Coast Operations and Development Manager, and the Group General Manager.

Long established with a pre-eminent technical reputation in capabilities ranging from building management systems (BMS), project management, operation & maintenance, construction, facilities management, maintenance and refurbishment. Our longstanding relationships forged with major building owners, developers and operators is testament to our standing.

This position's key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; 

  1. Undertaking assessments and audits of commercial office buildings, industrial facilities, hotels, resorts, health care facilities, educational facilities and retail premises to analyse and survey energy, utility and resource use, as directed from time to time;
  2. Identify and action business development opportunities to drive the ongoing growth of the company's revenue streams and client base;
  3. Identifying opportunities and implementing sustainable practices and cost saving improvements by using energy audits or industry based rating assessments and tools (i.e. NABERS);
  4. Conducting assessments of HVAC, Electrical and Hydraulic services and BMS systems to identify energy saving opportunities and saving targets;
  5. Undertaking NABERS ratings;
  6. Plan, define and oversee programs to measure and verify achievement of agreed saving targets;
  7. Manage ongoing day to day utility performance and energy management plans of nominated portfolio of assets, liaising with all relevant stakeholders;
  8. Produce designated monthly and quarterly tracking and monitoring reports;
  9. Working with multiple stakeholders with the aim to ensure the best valued engineered solutions in energy related areas;
  10. Developing solutions to achieve energy savings identified and provide verification and technical support;
  11. Liaising with various stakeholders in project implementation;
  12. Ensuring all tasks undertaken meet quality standards and client expectations;
  13. Ensuring adherence to pre-assigned project schedules / budgets;
  14. Compliance with all company & government regulations and procedures;
  15. Identifying and capturing revenue opportunities;

To be considered for this position you will need to:

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of commercial revenue stream management and growth;
  • Be self motivated and driven to achieve the required commercial outcomes;
  • Have effective and mature interpersonal skills to develop healthy working relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • Hold Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering qualification and at least 5 -10 years experience;
  • Preferably be a NABERS/CBD accredited assessor;
  • Demonstrate operational experience with building management systems, maintenance of existing systems and a thorough technical knowledge of an extensive range of HVAC systems;
  • Demonstrate your ability to work with solution providers to deliver utility performance improvements;
  • Demonstrate your outcomes based focused engineering capability;
  • Possess excellent time management and computer skills;
  • Well developed report writing and communication skills;
  • And demonstrate your proven track record of delivery.
